An Israeli airstrike struck a tent encampment for displaced families in the Mawasi area of Khan Younis in southern Gaza on May 25, killing a six-year-old girl and a 31-year-old woman. Seventeen people were wounded, including children. The Israeli military did not immediately comment on the strike.
