Severe weather outbreak with tornado risk forecast for Plains and Midwest
A severe weather system is expected to impact the central United States from Sunday through Tuesday, bringing threats of tornadoes, large hail, damaging winds, and heavy rain across the Plains and Midwest. The National Weather Service has issued an enhanced risk (level 3 out of 5) for parts of Nebraska, Minnesota, and surrounding areas. The outbreak follows significant storms on Saturday that produced 90 mph winds, baseball-sized hail, and tornadoes across Iowa, Kansas, and Nebraska.
