Two campaign staffers for Colombian right-wing presidential candidate killed in Meta department
Two members of right-wing presidential candidate Abelardo de la Espriella's campaign were killed by gunmen on motorbikes in Meta, Colombia on Friday night, two weeks before the May presidential election. The victims were identified as Rogers Mauricio Devia Escoba, a former mayor, and his adviser Eder Fabian Cardona Lopez. Colombia's citizens' rights ombudsman warned the attacks could hinder the exercise of political rights ahead of the vote.
