Indiana state senator Greg Walker loses primary after opposing Trump-backed redistricting bill
Indiana state Sen. Greg Walker (R) lost his Republican primary on Tuesday to Trump-endorsed challenger Michelle Davis after voting against a Trump-backed redistricting effort in December 2025. Walker, who had served his district for 20 years, defended his vote in a Meet the Press interview, saying he made the right choice and citing 90% constituent support for rejecting the map. Six of seven Republican senators who voted against the bill and faced reelection were defeated by Trump-endorsed challengers.
