Republicans introduce legislation to fund Trump's White House ballroom after WHCA dinner shooting
Following a shooting at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner on Saturday that Trump was attending, at least five separate Republican-backed bills have been introduced to authorize and fund construction of a White House ballroom estimated at $400 million. The ballroom project had been stalled by a legal challenge from the National Trust for Historic Preservation and a federal judge's halt on construction. Senator John Fetterman is the only Democrat so far to express support for the project.
