U.S. Army Master Sergeant charged with using classified information to bet on Maduro raid via Polymarket
Gannon Ken Van Dyke, 38, a Master Sergeant stationed at Fort Bragg, was charged by the Department of Justice with unlawful use of confidential government information, commodities fraud, wire fraud, and related counts after allegedly placing 13 bets on Polymarket using classified knowledge of Operation Absolute Fury/Resolve. Van Dyke allegedly invested roughly $33,000 and won more than $400,000 betting on U.S. forces entering Venezuela and Maduro's removal before the January 3, 2026 raid became public. After cashing out, he allegedly attempted to conceal the proceeds and delete his account.
