South Carolina pastor Rodney Gibson and wife Kawiana Young charged with abusing foster child

Rodney Gibson, 50, a pastor at Pathway 2 Hope Ministries in Columbia, South Carolina, and his wife Kawiana Young, 50, were arrested and charged with sexually and physically abusing a 15-year-old foster child in their care. The investigation began in March when the victim reported the abuse, leading to charges including first-degree criminal sexual conduct for Gibson and unlawful conduct toward a minor for Young. Young had been a licensed foster parent since 2021 but never disclosed her marriage to the licensing agency.
