Far-right lawyer Abelardo de la Espriella won the first round of Colombia's presidential election with 43.7% of the vote, ahead of leftwing senator Iván Cepeda who received 40.9%. De la Espriella, an admirer of Donald Trump, will face Cepeda in a runoff as traditional conservative candidate Paloma Valencia collapsed to 6.9%.
